Suggestive glimpse gardens convent
High Resolution JPEG Picture of A suggestive glimpse of the gardens of the convent of San Sebastiano on the Palatine hill, in the historic heart of the Ancient Rome. This small and humble convent, located among the Roman Forum of the Palatine hill, was built with its church in 1624 in the place where according to tradition the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian took place during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. The Roman Forums, one of the largest archaeological areas in the world, represented the political, legal, religious and economic center of the Ancient Rome, as well as the nerve center of the entire Roman civilization. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Image in high definition format.
