These one two three
High Resolution JPEG Picture of These are the one, two and three of copas / cups or hearts from a pack of Spanish playing cards (baraja) dated 1878. It was produced in Turnhout, Belgium, by the playing card manufacturer Leonard Bierman. Belgian playing cards follow the French style of suits, with clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades. At this time, it was felt that there was a market for Spanish-style cards, with their four suits Copas (Cups / Hearts), Oros (Gold Coins / Diamonds), Bastos (Clubs) and Espadas (Swords / Spades). There are ten cards in each of the four suits, each one lacking the 8 and 9. The court / picture cards are numbered 10, 11 and 12.
