Eastern monarch danaus plexippus
High Resolution JPEG Picture of Eastern monarch (Danaus plexippus plexippus) and bumblebee on butterfly bush, late summer, Connecticut. Once listed as Endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, this migratory subspecies was reclassified as Vulnerable in 2023.
