Portuguese caravel physalia physalis
High Resolution JPEG Picture of The Portuguese caravel (Physalia physalis) is the only organism in a heteromorphic colony, in the group of cnidarians. They live in tropical oceans, with blue or pink and purple colors. In contact with the skin, they can cause burns of up to third degree. Despite their appearance, they are not jellyfish.
