A striking series of 6 images of the hike down from Kaserstatt to Lischen in summer 2019. The Hasliberg area near Meringen in the Eastern part of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland is a popular ski resort in winter and this path follows the downhill ski run. The drop in altitude from 1840m to 1480m (approximately 1000ft) provides for many glimpses of the two main ridges in this pat of Switzerland - the Jungfrau Massif (including the Wetterhorn & the Eiger) and the distinctive sawtooth ridge of the Brienzer Rothorn above Lake Brienz. The views are as breathtaking as the steepness of the path and these six images perfectly capture this popular hike which takes about 2 hours to complete. This third image is about half way down and through a break in the tree cover, close to the tree line, a panoramic glimpse of the ridge on the North side of Lake Brienz can be seen in almost its entirety.
