Vienna ferris wheel 6475
High Resolution JPEG Picture of The Vienna Ferris Wheel is a 64.75 meter high Ferris wheel located at the entrance to the Prater amusement park in Vienna. It is one of Vienna's most popular tourist attractions and symbolizes the neighborhood as well as, for many people, the city itself. Built in 1896-1897 to plans by English architects Walter Basset and Harry Hitchens, it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world between 1920 and 1985. It was burned down during a bombardment in 1944 and rebuilt in 1953, with 15 only 30 original nacelles
